Practice Management

Managing Partner Alison has worked for the NHS since 1993 and was employed by the Nottinghamshire Health Authority prior to joining Church Walk Surgery in 1994 as the Practice Manager. In August 2007 Church Walk Surgery merged with Park View Surgery and Alison became a Managing Partner. Alison works very closely with the Management Team and day to day running of Church Walk Surgery. She has a BA (hons) degree in Management Systems (1992) and in 2001 attained her Masters degree in Business Administration at Nottingham Trent University.

Practice Manager Sarah has been in the role of Practice Manager for several years at Park View Surgery prior to the merger with Church Walk Surgery in 2007. Sarah is responsible for accounts and the Day to Day management of the Surgery.  She is also the Administration Prescribing Lead for the practice and manages the reception team for the repeat prescribing process.

Administration Manager Maggie has worked in the NHS since 1997 and joined Church Walk Surgery in 2000. She has attended Nottingham Trent University and has an Advanced Diploma in Management in General Practice and Post Graduate Certificate. Maggie works full time heading office practices, IT and data input issues. She is the administration co-ordinator for the End of Life multidisciplinary Team and Safeguarding Children.

Reception Manager Sarah has worked at Church Walk Surgery since 1990. Sarah works full time and  manages an experienced team of Receptionists. Sarah is responsible for the smooth running and efficiency of the reception and co-ordiniates the administration of surgeries for the doctors minor operation and learning disability clinics.

Sally is part of our team of experienced medical secretaries.
Mrs Celia Keech (f)
Celia is part of our team of experienced medical secretaries.
Sue Lomas (f)
Sue is part of our team of experienced medical secretaries.
Mrs Heidi Lewis (f)
Heidi is the Administration Assistant for Practice Based Commissioning. She works very closely with our COPD Nurses and deals with all the administration for the PBC consortium.
Jo Faulkner (f)
Jo assists Heidi with the administration of PBC
Alison Stokes (f)
Alison deals with clinical data administration at the surgery.
David Hale (m)
David joined Church Walk surgery at the beginning of 2010.  He deals with many aspects of administration, and works very closely with the Practice Based Commissioning team.
Miss Alicia Shaw (f)
Alicia works with our Practice Based Commissioning Administration Team.
Natasha Pendleton (f)
Natasha is part of the Administration Team dealing with data entry.
Mrs Freda Windmill (f)
Freda deals with clinical data administration

Reception

Staff pictureWe have an experienced team of 10 receptionists The receptionists are here to help you. Please try to be considerate and patient because at certain times they are extremely busy but will always do their best to assist. Try not to feel offended if they ask you a few questions to help assess the urgency. They will be able to help you with many routine enquiries and may ask you to see the practice nurse for other advice.
Hannah Boddice (f)

Hannah is a full time Receptionist.  Hannah deals with administrative duties, including the administration and co-ordination of the domicillary phlebotomy service, pathology and radiology administration, blood test recalls as well as working in reception.

Karen is invloved with administrative duties as well as being an experienced member of the reception team.

Part-time receptionist. Pat is also the administrator and co-ordinator for Quality Outcome Framework.

Part-time receptionist. Christine assists with the administration for the Ante-Natal clinics held at the surgery  weekly

On Friday 15th March  staff at Church Walk Surgery raised a grand total of   £384.84 for Comic Relief by selling cakes that staff had made. 

We had a stall in the waiting room and cakes were sold to patients and visitors on the day.

APPOINTMENTS
For non-urgent appointments, please telephone or call into the surgery. Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot keep an appointment so that we may offer it to another patient who may need seeing.

EMERGENCY FACILITY
If you require to be seen urgently, please tell the receptionist the nature of your request to assess the urgency. This facility is for emergency cases only and we ask you to not use this service for routine problems.

HOME VISITS
These should be reserved for patients who are genuinely too ill to attend surgery. Please telephone before 10.00am and be prepared to answer a few questions to help the doctors plan their calls and to give the doctors an idea of urgency. Please remember the doctor can see at least four patients in surgery in the time taken to do one visit.
