Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Sue Cantrill (f)
Sue_Cantrill_Aug_2011Advanced Nurse Practitioner Msc RGN ONC DN Sue is a qualified Nurse Prescriber. She runs the nursing team of 3 practice nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants & 3 COPD Nurses & CHD Nurse. She assists the doctors by running a Triage Clinic most mornings and will see emergencies for the doctors on the day.

COPD Nurse RGN COPD Diploma ENB 998 ENB 978 ARTP/BTS Spirometery Course Eve joined Church Walk Surgery in 2006 and is is part of the COPD Nursing Team. She was a Nurse at Nottingham City Hospital for 4 years prior to becomming a Respiratory Nurse Specialist in COPD in 2000

COPD Nurse RGN COPD Diploma ENB 998 Debbie joined Church Walk Surgery in 2006 as part of our COPD Nursing Team. She worked as a Nurse at QMC prior to becomming a COPD Nurse Specialist in 2000.

COPD Nurse RGN Diploma Asthma ENB 998 COPD Degree Alison joined Church Walk Surgery as part of the COPD Nursing Team in 2007.
Nurse Deb Pearce (f)

Deb joined Church Walk Surgery in January 2009. She has joined the Team of Nurses for Practice Based Commissioning and is a Nurse Specialist for patients with Chronic Heart Disease. She will receive patients as referred to her by the GP's.

Matt joined Church Walk Surgery as a Specialist Heart Failure Nurse in January 2010 and will be working with Specialist Nurse Deb Pearce seeing patients in the community as referred to him in by the GP's.

Wendy joined us in January 2011.  She is our Cardio Respiratory Palliative Care Nurse specialising in chronic heart and lung disorders, she works with the Practice Based Commissioning Team of Nurses.

Sandra joined Church Walk Surgery in July and works with Palliative Care Nursing Team as a Long Term conditions Palliative Care Nurse.
Nurse Elaine Watts (m)
Elaine works with the Specialist Heart Failure and COPD Nursing Team. She joined Church Walk Surgery in June.

Carol has been a practice nurse at Church Walk Surgery for several years. She is Nurse Lead for Paediatrics and Heart Disease.

Gail has many years experience as a Practice Nurse at Church Walk Surgery. She is the Nursing Lead for Obesity & Weight clinics & Family Planning / Contraceptive advice
Nurse Susan Davey (f)
Practice Nurse  Susan joined Church Walk Surgery Nursing Team in July 2011.  She has many years experience as a Practice Nurse and has previously worked for another local GP surgery.

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Sheila Cregg (f)
Health Care Assistant / Phlebotomist Sheila has been a phlebotomist for many years and joined Church Walk Surgery on a permanant basis in 2007 as a Health Care Assistant. Sheila is part of the Nursing Team and is able to take bloods, do Health Checks, take Blood Pressure and do ECG's. Sheila is also our lead for Smoking Cessation Clinics.

Emma is part of our nursing team and takes blood tests at the surgery every morning.

On Friday 15th March  staff at Church Walk Surgery raised a grand total of   £384.84 for Comic Relief by selling cakes that staff had made. 

We had a stall in the waiting room and cakes were sold to patients and visitors on the day.

APPOINTMENTS
For non-urgent appointments, please telephone or call into the surgery. Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot keep an appointment so that we may offer it to another patient who may need seeing.

EMERGENCY FACILITY
If you require to be seen urgently, please tell the receptionist the nature of your request to assess the urgency. This facility is for emergency cases only and we ask you to not use this service for routine problems.

HOME VISITS
These should be reserved for patients who are genuinely too ill to attend surgery. Please telephone before 10.00am and be prepared to answer a few questions to help the doctors plan their calls and to give the doctors an idea of urgency. Please remember the doctor can see at least four patients in surgery in the time taken to do one visit.
